Program Objective:

The Guidelines on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT) for Professional Accountants in The Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants (Revised) issued by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants require the CPA practices and trust or company service providers to provide appropriate AML/CFT training to their staff. This is to ensure that members of staff maintain up-to-date AML/CFT knowledge and competence. Staff should be trained in what they need to do to carry out their particular role with respect to AML/CFT.

The seminar aims to help participants understand the requirements and controls of AML/CFT so as to help them to carry out their role in AML/CFT when providing services to clients.

  • Background to Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing
  • Laws and Regulations on AML/CFT
  • Policies and Procedures relating to AML/CFT
  • Suspicious Transaction Reporting

Who Should Attend:

The course will be of interest to auditors, accountants, trust and corporate service providers, management, students and interested parties who would like to know more about anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing.
